Expression pattern, prognostic value and potential microRNA silencing of FZD8 in breast cancer

چکیده
Breast cancer (BC) is one of the most widespread types affecting females, and therefore, early diagnosis critical. BC a complex heterogeneous disease affected by several key pathways. Among these, WNT proteins their frizzled receptors (FZD) have been demonstrated to be crucial in regulating number cellular molecular events tumorigenesis. The role receptor, FZD8, has received minimal attention; for that reason, present study examined prognostic value its protein expression pattern cohort. FZD8 cytoplasmic analysis revealed ~38% primary samples presented with high profile, whereas ~63% had low profile. Overall, ~46% malignant tissues lymph node‑positive exhibited an increased expression, 54% levels. An was associated clinicopathological characteristics patients, including survival rate, tumor vascular invasion, size grade, subtypes. Affymetrix microarray triple‑negative datasets were analyzed compared healthy breast order predict potential interfering microRNAs (miRNAs) WNT/FZD8 signaling pathway. A total 29 miRNAs interact pathway identified, eight which significant prediction score. target genes each predicted miRNA identified. On whole, findings suggest marker BC, shedding some light onto silencing mechanisms involved signaling.

متن کاملEvaluation of the Prognostic Value and TRIP13 gene Expression in Gastric Cancer
Introduction: Gastric cancer is a major public health issue worldwide. The factors that initiate cancer are not well understood, however aberrant expression of genes is associated with this cancer. TRIP13 plays pivotal roles in meiotic recombination, DNA repair, and cell cycle progression. An increasing body of evidence suggests that TRIP13 may possess functions other than meiosis and mitosis, ...
متن کاملTissue Expression of Prohibition-I and Its Relationship With Prognostic Factors in Breast Cancer
Background & objective: Globally, breast cancer is the most common malignancy among females. Prohibition (PHB)-I, a homologous protein, was initially introduced as a suppressor gene for amplification process. Further, the protein has a key role in the cell cycle and is capable of inhibiting DNA transcription in many cell types. Therefore, its possible role in different...
متن کاملPrognostic and predictive value of PDL1 expression in breast cancer
Expression of programmed cell death receptor ligand 1 (PDL1) has been scarcely studied in breast cancer. Recently PD1/PDL1-inhibitors have shown promising results in different carcinomas with correlation between PDL1 tumor expression and responses. We retrospectively analyzed PDL1 mRNA expression in 45 breast cancer cell lines and 5,454 breast cancers profiled using DNA microarrays. Compared to...
متن کاملExpression and prognostic value of L1-CAM in breast cancer.
The L1 adhesion molecule (L1-CAM) is associated with impaired prognosis in many carcinomas. However, limited information about its expression in breast cancer tissue is available. Therefore, we carried out an analysis on L1 expression in primary breast cancers using a combination of Western blot, DNA-microarray analysis and immunohistochemistry. We observed L1 protein and mRNA overexpression in...
